WoW Scroll product / project context
A Warcraft news and community platform connecting creators, characters, and the stories players make along the way.
WoW Scroll began with Kyle's own experience as a longtime Warcraft player: the news, videos, conversations, and characters he cared about were scattered across different places.
The product needed to be worth visiting before a community had formed, while making it easy for a player to move from reading a story to sharing one of their own.

What Northbridge built
We brought selected news, credited creator content, original editorial, and player conversations into one experience, with optional character and map context that adds meaning without making posting complicated.
A personal idea became a live, evolving product: somewhere to discover what's happening in Warcraft and keep the people, characters, and moments behind it connected.
World-specific discovery, source-linked stories, original articles and animation, public profiles, threaded conversations, optional Battle.net character connections, and a community map form the experience.

A shared world beyond the game
Illustrated landscapes, charcoal surfaces, warm accents, and a scroll-inspired identity create a sense of Warcraft while keeping stories and conversations easy to read.
The work began with a question a player would actually ask: what is worth paying attention to today? The answer needed to serve people following the game, creators looking for a conversation, and players with a story of their own.
Early experiments explored map-led discovery, character journals, and immersive scenes. Repeated design and browser reviews brought the focus back to a connected social experience: fewer fields when posting, characters as optional context, and the same conversation wherever a story appears.
WoW Scroll is now live and still taking shape. The current work brings together original coverage, short animation, mobile refinement, and invitations for players and creators to help shape the community.
